TRICK OR TREAT?

Have you seen the last Modascrap release yet?

I couldn’t wait to have all that beauty in my hands! Today I’m going to show you a project I’ve been working on using my new products this is especially for all those who, like me, love Halloween with its threats or sweets and the kids fun.

First of all, I made a box and created and interactive lid. On the right hand side, I pinned one of the new clear stamps set *Funny Birdie* on an acetate tongue. For the inner I used the *Dashing circles* die set. I created a 2cm depth with some recycled cardboard (I honestly used a take-away pizza cardboard as it was just perfect for this exercise).

The ticker the cardboard is, the bigger the shadow will look so that will give you a nice 3D effect. I used the Modascrap *Gelly* for the background which I mixed with the Tommy orange ink. The castle’s, the hill’s and the bat’s shapes have been hand-drawn. Within the new *Mistletoe Wreath* die set you can find, other than a garland, some leaves and little branches which I die cut with some black cardboard.

I put some other birds by the garland’s edges and polished some leaves to create some movement. The lid measures 15,5x15,5 cm x 3,5 cm. The inner measures 15,2x15,2 cm x 5,5 cm. And now let’s talk about the sweets!

I made a small bat-shaped box with the *Really cute* die. I cut across the lines on the upper side to create the ears and antennae and with the left overs I created the wings. The box size is perfect for some Halloween sweets.

For the threats instead, I thought about a fake bat-shaped sweet for a perfect surprise effect. With the *Dream Flower* die a black cardboard and assembled the sunbursts, then polished some elements to create an additional 3D effect. I glued the sunbursts a small circle from Dashing Circles along with the paws made out of some black cardboards stripes.
