THE BUTTERFLY: A FLOWER IN FLIGHT

We scrappers know how to valorize these moments captured with the complicity of time and light.

Here is my album made for a special occasion, and which paper could I use if not the Let Your Soul Bloom collection? There is a sheet to cut out completely and to produce so many butterflies, flowers and leaves to be used as embellishments.

For the box, which contains the album, I used the Special Paper Kraft which has an excellent consistency for these types of structures. For the closure I die cut the medium size of the Flags and, with the method I also used for the Treat Holder boxes (see video tutorial: https://youtu.be/1eDu_WM4WUI), I cut it 30 cm long to embrace all the box with a series of magnets.

The two Ramo 5 leaves I die cut them out of a piece of spatulated paper with Fluffy Light Amethyst and at the end I rubbed with a cloth to make the brilliant effect stand out more.

On the cover of the album I die cut a circle with Dashing Circles and then covered it with the Special Garzato Trasparente Paper to create that transparency effect. For the title, the name of the baby, I looked for the shades between the Tombow markers that came closer to the patterned and I wrote the letters freehand and blended it with the brush.

For embellishments within the album I used a lot of flowers, butterflies and leaves clippings and Stichers Sentiments Typewriter, perfect for the photographs I chose and the theme of the album.

As you can see, I really like the Flags and the Banners, which I used here and there, sometimes stamping them and sometimes decorating them. In two pages I played with tone on tone creating that slightly gost effect.

On one page I spread the Fluffy Old Linen with the Stencil Triangles to make the background of the photograph and in another case I used the Stencil Hearts with the Fluffy Amethyst to embellish a patterned butterfly.

A note on the photographs: I love black and white photographs, they have a poetic touch. This time I wanted to accentuate the details of the photographs to highlight the pink color that is the theme of this album, so as to make everything very harmonious.
