Hello crafty friends,

it's July and the vacations have started in my state as well. When a school year ends, one inevitably thinks of the upcoming school enrollments in August.

This year many children in my circle of friends will go to school and therefore I took this as an opportunity to make a souvenir frame for this first day of school.
In Brandenburg, my state, children always start school on the Saturday before the first day of the new school year. They meet with their parents and grandparents at the school, get a school bag and a "Schultüte" and have their first little lesson with the new class.

Afterwards there is a great, often big party with the whole family and friends. My godchild Mats is one of these new schoolchildren and he is already very excited about everything that is to come.

In the keepsake frame I made for him, I left room for the first photo as a school kid with school bag and "Schultüte". To make this gift a little more personal, I once again used the great alphabet dies Alphabet Stickers and Giant Alphabet.

What do you think of the new papers from the School Details series? I think they are just great, I love the grid paper. To match, there are Die Cuts with which you can decorate everything perfectly.

Maybe you want to make a souvenir frame for the first day of school.

1st paper layer: 25x25 cm

2nd paper layer: 22x22 cm

Have fun capturing this milestone of your children and happy vacations!

Mandy.
