SHADES OF BIRTHDAY

SHADES OF BIRTHDAY

Mandy Pätzold

Hey there!

My name is Mandy and I’m a stampaholic, jewelry designer, mom of two, wife and coffee & book addict from Potsdam (Germany). I first stepped into the world of stamping and paper crafting in October 2016.

I like card making the most, but I also enjoy making mini albums, gift packaging and layouts.
What I love about my hobby are the people I met and the friends I made on my way so far.

In Spring lots of birthdays are around the corner, so I decided to create a little gift box and a matching card for my friend.

The cute *Matchbox* and the *Shades of Love* paper pack are my perfect choice for this occasion.

CARD

I love everything peachy and so it was no surprise I decided to go with the "Shades of Love" paper pack. It's so easy to mix and match and to layer and cut out some flowers to embellish cards.

First, I applied a peach toned ink with a brush and put on some golden sprinkles all over the card (21cm x 10,5cm). Next up, I stamped and embossed the sentiment in gold. By the way:Have you noticed how beautiful the "happy birthday" lettering from the correspondent stamp set actually is?

I wrapped the wire 2-3 times around two fingers and 3-4 times around three fingers, to create a kind of wreath. Just twist the ends of the wire around the wreath to fix it.The golden wire and the new white semi pearls are giving the final, elegant look to my card.

BOX

I cut out the matchbox three times and glued them all together to get a little cabinet kind of box with room for treats, candles, balloons and jewelry for example. The florals and peachy tones of the "Shades of love" paper pack are matching and softening the rustic look of the kraft paper, what I love.

One of my favourite products is the new metallic *Copper Wire Gold*, because it's thin, flexible and sturdy at the same time. This time I combined it with matching glass beads, I've threaded and delicate ribbon from my stash.

I hope you like my inspiration for all these new (and existing) items.

Take care, Mandy.
