DIY POSTCARD WITH THE POSTAGE BITS

It's Laura here and today I am back here on the ModaScrap blog with a postcard-style card, made with stamps from the *Postage Bits* series and papers from the *Forever Green* collection!

Even if the papers I chose today were part of the Christmas 2019 collection, I find them perfect also for travel-themed projects – and even more so for the mountain lovers among you! For this reason I decided to combine them with the new *Postage Travel* and *Postage Summer* stamps to create these DIY postcards!

I went for a simple design, with layered patterned paper rectangles from the Forever Green 6x6” pad. I die cut three rectangles of different sizes with the *Dashing Rectangles* and glued them one on top of the other.

I then created three postage stamps with stamps from the Postage Bits, Postage Travel and Postage Summer sets. I stamped them with Memento ink in Rich Cocoa and colored them with Illustrator markers. I then die cut them with the coordinating dies and glued them to the front of the postcard.

I embellished the design a bit by adding a few sequins and then moved on to work on the back of the postcard.

I die cut ModaScrap's *Woodstock White* paper to the size of my postcard, using again the Dashing Rectangles dies. I then recreated the typical postcard design using the Postage Bits stamp set and I decorated it with images from the Postage Travel stamp set.

For my coloring I used again my Illustrator markers and for the message I chose one of the sentiments in the beautiful *Thanks* stamp set.

Lasty, I glued the front and back of the postcard together using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.
